Foundations for Learning

Our commitment to Excellence in Education starts with theyoungest members of our community. Children starting in Kindergarten for the first time come into school with a wide range of experiences with books and reading, and we are partnering with other stakeholders in the community to help reach out to families with free books and "Reading Tips" to help get the most out of these books. We obtain books through community book drives, publisher dontations, and purchases of new materials. If you or your organization is willing to help by collecting or distributing books, we would like to hear from you.

Enriching Great Teachers

College Ready, College Bound!

We are committed to helping LISD Students with college textbooks for their Dual Enrollment Classes. Qualified Students are eligible to take credit courses at Austin Community College with Free Tuition starting in the Summer after their Sophomore year. We are working to provide funds for the required textbooks at no charge. Starting this summer, we will make a limited number of textbook scholarships available. Students should contact their campus Transition Coordinators for more details.
