Previous Program Activities
Our team of volunteers from United Way, HEB, Cox Elementary Girl Scouts, HEB, LISD Transportation, and many others helped distribute over 700 books to over 150 children at Bledsoe Park in Leander on June 21st.

Foundations for Learning
Our commitment to Excellence in Education starts
with theyoungest members of our community. Children starting in
Kindergarten for the first time come into school with a wide range
of experiences with books and reading, and we are partnering with
other stakeholders in the community to help reach out to families
with free books and "Reading Tips" to help get the most out of these
books. We obtain books through community book drives, publisher dontations, and purchases of new materials. If you or your
organization is willing to help by collecting or distributing books,
we would like to hear from you.
Enriching Great Teachers
In our first year, we granted almost $14,000 in

College Ready, College Bound!
We are committed to helping LISD Students with college textbooks for their Dual Enrollment Classes. Qualified Students are eligible to take credit courses at Austin Community College with Free Tuition starting in the Summer after their Sophomore year. We are working to provide funds for the required textbooks at no charge. Starting this summer, we will make a limited number of textbook scholarships available. Students should contact their campus Transition Coordinators for more details.
